Women in Motorcycling – California Lifetime Achievement Awards”

Award Winners Chosen

 

Real Women Ride, Inc., dba Women’s Motorcycle Events, as part of the Annual Motorcycle Expo in Auburn, California joined forces with Biker Ally Magazine and announced its intent to hold an annual event to recognize women who have made a positive and significant impact in motorcycling. 

 

After reviewing the several nominations received, 2007 Award winners were chosen by a few very well-known ladies in the field:  Karen Miller of Biker Ally (committee chair), Susan Carpenter, L.A. Times, Jasmine Bluecreek-Clark of Biker Ally (and also a great mechanic and MSF Coach), Becky Brown, founder of Women in the Wind, Ragan Jenkins, photographer/rider extraordinaire, and Joyce McCleod, rider and one of the organizers of the event for Gold Moms during Rolling Thunder.

 

This very prestigious award committee has selected six ladies as award recipients:

1.                  Dayna Davidson, Excellence in Portraying a Positive Image of Women and Street Bikes

2.                  Nancy Nemecek, Outstanding Contributions Toward Protecting the Rights of Motorcyclists and Promoting Rider Safety

3.                  Donna Palladino, Outstanding Contributions Toward Projecting a Positive Image of Women in Motorcycling

4.                  Sara Schilke, Excellence in Portraying a Positive Image of Women and Sport Bikes

5.                  Gin Shear and Sue Slate, Outstanding Contributions Toward Projecting a Positive Image of Women in Motorcycling

6.                  Ruby Weber, Outstanding Contributions Toward Protecting the /Rights of Motorcyclists and Promoting Rider Safety

 

The recipients will be given their awards at an informal breakfast sponsored by Real Women Ride, Biker Ally and Auburn’s Out the Door Motorsports on June 3rd at 8:30 am at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn, California just prior to the day’s 2nd Annual Motorcycle Expo events.
